What's the difference between your strings and other coated strings?
Coated strings you’ve played in the past use tone killing layers of material.
The coating gets in between the winds and inhibit vibration.
Cleartone Strings feature the thinnest coating in the industry.
At one micron, our strings feel and sound like traditional strings but with the added benefit of 3-5X string life.
Do you treat all of your strings?
Yes, all of the Cleartone strings are treated with our one micron thin coating.
While some string companies only treat the wound strings of a set, we treat the wound and plain singles.
Are your EQ's treated?
Yes. EQ's are a part of the Cleartone acoustic string line, so they are treated.
Why are your strings so expensive?
Cleartone Strings feature a premium treatment that is only one micron thin.
This allows our strings to feel and sound like traditional strings,
but with the added benefit of 3-5 times more string life. In fact, Cleartones were tested to be
up to 36% louder than the leading coated string brand according to an
independent sound lab. We promise, our premium strings are worth it.
