Thrash metal icon Dave Mustaine has had quite an illustrious career. Originally finding fame as the guitarist for Metallica, he sought out his own success, founding the now legendary band Megadeth. They have since sold over 50 million units worldwide, earned platinum certification for 6 consecutive albums and received 11 Grammy nominations.

Megadeth is one of the few bands from the American underground metal scene to achieve mass commercial success, and is often referred to as one of the “Big Four” of thrash metal, along with Metallica, Slayer and Anthrax.

In other related ventures, Dave found success once again as he founded Gigantour, an internationally acclaimed metal festival with which the band has hosted successfully for the last several years.

It was announced recently that Lamb of God drummer Chris Adler will record tracks with Megadeth on their 15th full-length album set to be released later in 2015.
